Thanks for choosing to be vulnerable and open, thanks for putting words to the despair, for naming those things I haven't been able to, and for making me feel less lonely. I don't know you, but I do. I hug you.
You have no idea what this comment means to me—thank you! This is exactly why I chose to making my writing public versus keeping a private journal. Not only for my own healing, but for others as well.
So pleased to find you here and glad you're not giving up, even though health challenges can feel so lonely and isolating. I, too, am challenged daily with a health condition, but writing seems to keep me going. Sounds like you have good medical support which is important. Keep writing, dear. 💞
Thank you for sharing your journey and for writing so openly here on Substack. There are so many people suffering in silence, and I truly believe your words will help others feel less alone.
I also feel that chronic illness often doesn’t receive the understanding or attention it deserves. I have many friends navigating life with chronic illness, and I know how deeply challenging and isolating it can be at times
Sending you my love. I went through something similar when I was 21, and with the help of the right therapist, I was able to pinpoint the source of my pain. It’s been two years, I still have symptoms but they’re not as bad as they used to be. What you’re doing here, writing about your experience takes so much strength, and I hope this reaches as many people as it can. Wishing you the best of health and happiness.
This was so beautifully human. The way you wrote about loss, fear, exhaustion, and still somehow holding onto that small part of yourself that keeps writing really moved me. I’m genuinely glad you decided to share this. Thank you. I think your words are going to make a lot of people feel less alone. :)
First and foremost, you are enough, and perfectly imperfect just the way you are. Thank you for being a brave and authentic writer.
I have a similar journey. First illness diagnosed 20+ years ago when only two places in the country diagnosed it. (Dysautonomia -POTS). Over the years, several other diagnosis. My point - much compassion. I understand the roller coaster of doctors, attempts at healing and finding your current state of living. I'm always here to listen or help. Feel free to reach out. And remember, when it comes to writing your Substack, however you show up is perfect. We will be here to listen.
God bless you! You're heart is beautiful . Thank you
I have a different diagnosis but also. Struggled for decades? I lost track ..yesterday I actually connected for the first time with someone who totally understood! I cried when I read your piece today.
.Still am..I'm.older now and my greatest dilemma is finding a ride from.this small town to the ,"big city". Driving in major traffic isn't easy anymore nor wise for me. Just know, you have set a stage . Allowing others to hear and to share. It may not pay well , but it opens eyes and hearts to hope. Blessings. M
The decision to make this public instead of keeping it private feels significant. It turns something deeply personal into something relational...and that intention to help others through your experience comes through strongly. It takes a lot of courage to let people into something this raw, especially when you’re still in the middle of it. And that honesty is exactly what makes it feel so impactful and real. Thank you so much for sharing! I subbed to read more!
How generous to share this. I cannot imagine how hard this was for you, but I am happy you are feeling better and using Substack as a creative outlet and to help others! Rooting for you!
I’m so sorry for what you are going through. I know how isolating, frustrating, and truly painful it can all be, but if anything I’ve only gained so much strength, confidence and wisdom through the process. I wouldn’t trade it for the life I thought I missed out on, and the fact that you wont give up means your strength, resilience, and faith will absolutely carry you through 🩶 If you ever have any questions, feel free to DM me.
I’m so glad I stumbled upon your page!! MCAS is also in my bundle of chronic illnesses. Learning and relearning about your body is a different kind of battle. But it was because of people sharing their stories on the internet that I was able to also advocate for myslef, so thank you for sharing. I hope to contribute everything I’ve learned one day as well. 🤍🫂
I write on here for very different reasons, but have found writing to be so very therapeutic. Not to mention the community it brings. So glad to meet you on here.

God gave me Dysautonomia because I have a big mouth! 😂 It is the pain in the ass wonderful life I live. We've got this.
I’m sure you have, but you have you done any nervous system work, like somatics, EMDR, brain rewiring?
